Interesting article, enjoyed the employee perspective. It’s always fascinating to watch companies transition from the VC-fueled startup stage to becoming an actual self-sustaining business. Obviously it’s easy to pay employees above-market and fly them around the country for training when there is no expectation of profit and there’s VC cash in the bank. The companies who manage to continue to do that while delivering shareholder value (and without gauging the customer to pay for it) are very impressive.
